For custom orders (Wedding Invitations, Personalized Stationery, Custom Business Cards and Design), please allow a minimum of 7-10 business days for printing once proof or proofs are approved, and another 3-7 business days for shipping within the continental US. Orders shipped outside of the USA may take longer due to customs or other factors beyond our control. Custom Envelopes and Envelope liners add 3-5 days to any order.
Do you accept international orders?
Yes, we do. Upon checkout, you will see that we have divided shipping into US & International, and shipping prices are based on purchase totals, and are subject to change. For our international clients, we ship only EMS to ensure the best possible service. Please note, Milkmaid Press is not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments as these are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please check with your local customs office about rules and regulations.
Because we are located in the great state of Delaware, there is no sales or service tax applied to any order.
Thanks to our partners at Shopify, all orders are as secure as possible, and your order information will remain private. We will never share or sell your information to any third party, and the information we collect is solely used to contact you about your order if necessary or if you elect to participate in our email marketing.
What is your return and refund policy?
We are unable to refund or accept returns on any custom orders. We take every consideration to ensure that you get exactly what you want, but due to the nature of custom stationery, we are unable to issue refunds once an order is approved as goes to press. If you decide to cancel your order at any point prior to final proof approval, we will refund 50% of your payment. If you decide to cancel your order after a proof has been approved for printing, we will not be able to refund any portion of your payment. Changes to orders will not result in a refund of that order, but we will assist on any reorders. Milkmaid Press will not be responsible for any variations in inking, color, impression or position, although we do our best to get the most beautiful and accurate prints. Milkmaid Press will have no responsibility for any damages or lateness incurred through shipping or customs that are beyond our control.
Are you environmentally friendly?
Got Green on your mind? All our paper goods are printed as efficiently and as eco-conscious as possible. All our papers are at least 30% PCW. For those who really want to be eco-friendly, we offer a 100% recycled, 100% wind powered paper in a brilliant white. It’s our 130lb Eco-Smooth Matte Cover and is available for only 10% more than our standard Pearl & Cotton Pricing. Our Eco-Smooth is a great option for those who prefer a smooth, bright white paper in lieu of our shimmery Pearl paper or our soft textured Cotton. All Letterpress is printed on Crane Lettra or Somerset Cotton papers. Milkmaid Press commits to being as efficient and environmentally friendly as possible, from our energy use to our papers, all of which are a minimum of 30% recycled. Our sizes are created so that we use the most out of our papers, so there is little to no waste.
How does the order process work?
Once you place your personalized stationery order our production manager will get in touch with you to confirm the order and collect any additional information we may need from you, such as wording or photos. Once we have everything we require, your stationery will be designed and will we email you a proof. After signing off on the proof, we will send your project to print and you will be notified when it's ready to ship. Custom orders do take longer, as we work one on one with you to ensure you get exactly what you want.
Where do I submit my wording or photos?
Once you place your order, you may email production@milkmaidpress.com any copy or photos and envelope color choice, along with your order number. The default envelope color is white, so if nothing is specified, you're order will be delivered with white envelopes. Within 2 business days, we will be in touch to gather this information if we have not heard from you via email. For photo submissions, we ask that the images be at least 5x7 at 300dpi and no larger than 11x14 at 300dpi, unless we are printing a poster or large print.
Yes! One of our designers will get in touch with you after you place your order regarding your wording and layout. A proof will be emailed to you after everything is finalized, and your approval will be required before your order goes to press. Every order includes up to 2 complimentary digital proofs. Your free digital proof will arrive within 2 business days of receipt of payment and text. In order to keep our prices low and offer quick turn around, we do not offer printed proofs. Hard Copy proofs are not available at this time. Proofs exceeding 2 proof revisions will result in a charge of $50/proof.
Can I change the color on a design to match my wedding colors?
Only certain sets have the option of choosing custom colors, but we will do our best to help you get what you want. For example, we do not offer custom color on Magnolia or Wildflower, but we can customize color for suites such as Carnival or Urban Prairie. We can closely match fabric swatches, paint or ink samples and pantone, but we cannot guarantee an exact match, but we do get pretty close.

What if I need to cancel my personalized order?
After placing your personalized order we will email you to confirm the details of your order. Once you confirm the details are correct, your order is non-refundable.
Also, please note that upon final approval of your personalized order we cannot accept returns due to any and all errors (such as misspelled words etc.). By approving your final proof you accept responsibility for the information and layout as shown. If errors are discovered after proof approval, we are required to charge if there is a need to reprint the order.

Custom commissions are non-refundable, so once a custom order is placed and we have confirmed the order in a follow up email, the order is non-refundable.
How far in advance should I contact you about custom work?
The more time we have on a project, the more creative we can get. Custom projects can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months depending upon the scope of the project. We work as fast as you do, and the more information and detail we have, the faster our response. For weddings, we prefer a minimum of 4-6 months prior to the event, since you'll want to send your invitations 4-12 weeks before the big day. We can accommodate rush orders, please inquire for more information on Rush Fees.
We certainly do. We started out in Letterpress and work with a centuries old Golding Official, as well as local letterpress printers to handle the letterpress load. Many of our existing designs print beautifully in Letterpress, and we can guide you though the process and ensure that you get the printing method that's best suited for you individual wants and needs.
